A neighbor found a female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, wet and cold, this morning on Jeff Yates St. The young pup was wearing a blue bark collar, and jumped right into her car when called. As it was very early, and all the nearby homes were dark, she took the dog to the Cabarrus Animal Shelter on Hwy 49. They will keep the dog for 4 -5 days before turning it over to the Humane Society for adoption. I believe the owners live at the end of Juanita. They had two dogs in their backyard tied up.
