Christmas Gathering

Good Morning Neighbors,

Thanks for your participation and support last night – we had a great turnout! Special thanks to Barry Ryalls of Eastwood for the gift cards, Josh Freeman for firewood, and Scott Carl for music.

Our community Favorite was 5333 Kim Street – for the second year in a row. Way to go Brenda and family. The most festive home was chosen by Barry – The Grazer residence on Ophela. The kids really enjoyed their rides through the neighborhood.

Merry Christmas to all, and best wishes for a fabulous 2012.

Vehicle Break-Ins

Good Morning Neighbors,

Last night (12/5/11) there were several cars broken into throughout our neighborhood. Some were locked, some were unlocked. Windows were broken and locks were busted. Lost of items were taken, although some were recovered. Please make sure to lock your cars! Take out anything of value. One police officer shared that he leaves his glove compartment open – that way potential thieves can see that it’s empty. Another deterrent is having a porch or garage light on.  It is a sad day for many of our neighbors – let’s do our best to watch out for each other.

Are you missing a dog?

A neighbor found a female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, wet and cold, this morning on Jeff Yates St. The young pup was wearing a blue bark collar, and jumped right into her car when called. As it was very early, and all the nearby homes were dark, she took the dog to the Cabarrus Animal Shelter on Hwy 49. They will keep the dog for 4 -5 days before turning it over to the Humane Society for adoption. Please contact Brent at the Cabarrus Animal Shelter if this is your dog, or you know where the dog belongs. If you have any futher questions, please reply to this post.
